吃喝玩乐温哥华: 温哥华这个著名海滩计划新建岛屿

今年早些时候，温哥华市政府和温哥华公园委员会就重新设计温哥华市中心西区海滨提出了三个不同的设计概念，现在又提出了一个拟议的概念草案，供公众进一步审议。

这项规划工作涉及 95 英亩的海滨地区，包括英吉利湾海滩(English Bay)、日落海滩(Sunset Beach)、毗邻海滩地区的公园以及海滩大道(Beach Avenue)。其目的是在数十年内对该地区实施新的设计，以应对海平面上升的问题，并根据不断增长的人口和旅游业提供新的和改进的设施和功能，以及建立更多适合举办活动的空间。

将新建一条更大的人行道，设计蜿蜒曲折，环绕海滩内侧边缘，取代现有的狭窄沥青路面。

还包括为英吉利湾提供一座新的浴场建筑，内设迎宾中心、咖啡厅、盥洗室、更衣室和嬉水池，并将现有的浴场改建成一个花园，内设更衣室、盥洗室和救生空间。

在日落海滩公园，新的设计要求建造一个带座位区的露天剧场、一个草坪和一个咖啡厅，以及一个带新公共厕所的儿童游乐区、一个有顶棚的滑板公园、一个玩滚轮的广场、供旱地曲棍球等一系列运动使用的灵活硬质地面，以及一个位于水边的扩建的狗狗公园。

在日落海滩公园的东半部，将新建一段海滨绿道，为行人和骑自行车者在绿地上开辟一条蜿蜒曲折的小道，还可能在水上开辟一条高架环形小道。此外，还计划在温哥华水上运动中心前新建一个船屋，用于存放船只、食品和饮料，并为水上巴士和福溪渡轮提供一个渡轮码头。
