If the increasing rates of housing prices are lower than interest rates from banks, most of the investors will walk away from housing market. In fact, the housing markets are mainly supported by investors and speculators. Even the real home buyers are considering investment profits when they buy their own homes. When housing prices and rents go down, only the realtors, investors and speculators who have already owned properties want somebody to buy them off the hooks.
