That the Chinese government claims that the Tibetans attacked the Chinese soldiers despite the video, despite the Tibetan, Danish, Romanian and English witnesses to the contrary, is not surprising. The complete disregard for human life, disregard for the truth, and disregard for what anyone else may think, that is what we have come to expect from that government. No surprise.
What surprises me is that whereas the Tibetans are shot for trying to leave China, some people who were allowed to leave China, who were allowed to emigrate to Canada, have not a shred of sympathy for these people. They have no understanding for the fact that the Tibetans, a proud nation with a long independent history, would prefer to run their own affairs, whether as an autonomous part of China or as an independent country, but at least to be in control of their destiny as a people. No sympathy, no understanding. That suprises me.
I hope that Quebec stays in Canada. But I have always had the greatest respect for the Quebecois aspirations as an independent ethnic group. I have always hoped that they find their association with Canada satisfactory. But if they choose otherwise, good luck. Is it so difficult for Chinese people to have the same attitude towards the Tibetans.

辛苦打工挣钱的人，即使年薪二十万，也是不会去同情为了偷一百元钱而被打死的小偷的。同样是离开中国，合法移民和非法越境是两个完全不同性质的问题，前者合法，后者非法。这点道理，史大叔难道真不懂么？
中国人现在申请出国、办理护照早已是司空见惯的事。有合法的出国途径不走，非要走非法途径，为此送了命能怨谁？

1) Some Tibetans beat up some Hong Kong people in Shenzhen...so what!
2) Tibet is essential to China's defense but Quebec is not so important to Canada. Says who? Nor does real autonomy for Tibet within a federated China increase China's vulnerability.
3) White people are all false.... Whatever.
4) Immigrants to Canada did not run away from China..... The point is they were allowed to leave. These Tibetans are obviously not allowed to leave.
5) Illegal emigrants are not shot in most countries. When they are the normal response is to investigate what what happened and not to just tell lies.
No, youjuren, if Quebec leaves the other provinces will probably not leave. But even with that possibility Canada will allow Quebec to leave if there is a "clear vote on a clear question". There have already been two referendums on that question. so what is your point?
Is someone willing to deal with the issue at hand. -
