How is it possible to write so much ignorant garbage. If you are ignorant, you ask. You do not spread your ignorance out for others to view.
Judaism is a religion like many others. It has a story of its origin and development, it has its teachings and it has its sense of belonging to a common community. For most of its history it has alternated between being attacked and oppressed and allowed to exist among somewhat hostile neighbours. To judge by the tone of your question, an explanation of the teachings and history of Judaism would be beyond your ability to comprehend.
Let's just say that Judaism is also the origin of Christianity and Islam.
The attention paid to the problems in the Middle East is to a large extent the creation of the media. So far in the Israel-Lebanon dispute 1000 people more or less have died. How many Moslems were killed by Moslems during the same period in Iraq, or Darfur, or how many Moslems were killed in Chechenya in the last few years.
50-100,000 Tajiks were killed in the Tajikistan civil war in the 1990's . Has anyone here heard of it? 50,000 people were killed in the Armenia - Azerbaijan war, also in the 1990s. Heard of that one?
China invaded Moslem territory in 1949 and denies basic cultural and linguistic rights to the Uighurs. Does anyone care?
The dispute between Israel and the Arabs is one among many disputes in the world. It is the only one guaranteed to be on the first page of all newspapers. -

Have you ever asked why the Mideast conflict impacts you? Why are you impacted more by 1,000 people killed in the Mideast than by 200,000 people killed in Chechenya? Or 500,000 in Rwanda? You are impacted because Moslem extremists have chosen to make you a potential victim of their resentement.
But please tell me what you know of Jewish fundamentalists and how I resemble them. Tell me how my comments here are more ignorant and arrogant than your starting salvo. I ask this question rhetorically. I do not expect an answer that exhibits any ablity to think. -

This is an interesting question. The Israel question is a flash point for many reasons.
It is the flash point of Moslem-Western conflict. Israel really represents a Western colonial incursion in the Middle East, an open sore that the Arab world and Moslem world will not let heal. It is a symbol of their decline and weakness. They regret their former glory. But based on how they run their affairs today, it is not about to come back.
There is a strong, I think mainstream, feeling in Islam that they should and can restore the former glory of the Caliphate, whether of Damscus or the Ottoman Empire, but in any case one in which Islam dominates the world.
Unfortunately Islam is more than a religion, it is a form of social organisation based on subjugation, the subjugatioin of women, non-believers, and even the believers themselves who are told how to live their lives in great detail. To me a good part of Modern day Islam is like fascism allied with revanchard nationalism. It also has the anti-establishment appeal that Marxism had before it was shown to be a bankrupt ideology. A pretty awesome combination. The struggle will be long and will not be pretty.
Israel is mostly a secular state, but it has its own brand of exclusionist nationalism and a small group of religious fanatics. Also not a pretty sight.
I am a believer in the freedom of each individual to create the best life he/she can in the short span of their time in this world. I believe that we can not turn back the clock and should live with the political realities of this world, and let ot hers live. That is why I support the right of Israel to exist and protect itself from groups committed to its destruction.
The nature of the Israeli-Palestsine dispute is not different from many others, including the Turk-Kurd dispute, Serb-Albanian, and many others too numerous to name.
I feel that the support for Hezbollah and Hamas is in line with the kind of support that existed among intellectuals for Mao, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, and on the right side of the spectrum, Hitler and Mussolini. These were all people responsible for the sacrifice of millions of people for empty slogans and utopian ideals. -

按照此逻辑, 当初犹太人就应该呆在原来自己呆的地方, 更不应该回到耶路撒冷, 重新立国, 驱逐巴勒斯坦人. 难怪有人说犹太人要为这个世界的战争负责.
