And, as Allport explained, it doesn’t stop there.
‘In many cases, the salaries of lecturers in nutrition in veterinary colleges are paid by the pet-food companies,’ he said. ‘So most students today don’t get any information about anything other than commercial pet food.’ -

- 時間: 2013-3-20 16:14養狗時間不常,但對挑選Dog Food花了很久的時間。剛把狗抱回家的時候,朋友好心告訴:狗咬吃狗糧,要不然跳桌子。
我挑選狗糧花了有兩年多的時間,從$20一袋,到$96一包,到Raw Feeding。原因到不是因為我太挑剔或狗太挑剔,只是不論換什麼狗糧,狗狗的大便都不成型,很多時候就拉稀。最後停留在一個牌子上面,也沒有堅持超過半年。最後不得已上網研究,換成自己做飯。結果....
記得換狗糧的時候,醫生和知道的一些人常常警告說,不要急於換牌子,要慢慢的來,要不然狗不適應。始終不得其解。現在知道了,一派胡言。我的狗狗從吃上我做的飯第一天之後,便便好的一塌糊塗,而且一直沒有什麼問題。期間,特別是開始的時候,覺得買的那麼貴的狗糧不吃就浪費了。結果是一加回去就出問題。
我也知道,可能我的這個狗狗腸胃有些問題,因為另一只狗的問題就沒這麼多。但我對商業狗糧的戒心一直越來越大。
自己做飯給狗狗吃已經有9個多月了,那些沒喂過的商業狗糧還在袋子裡面,一點也沒有變質。What does this mean? What's in it?
現在我的經驗,狗跳桌子不是因為吃人吃的食物,而是因為人在飯桌下面喂狗。 -

我的狗狗從小就開始有 1、7、8的問題,後來加上2、4、5。到後來是掉毛,不是一般的Shedding,是胸口上大片的斑禿。這些問題在我改成Homemade Food之後都開始好轉。
