SR 542: Maintenance closure near Artist Point

Crews will close five miles of SR 542 (Mount Baker Highway), 8 miles east of Glacier, to cut down dead or dying trees from near the roadway. WSDOT works with the US Forest Service to identify trees that are dead or dying and within reach of the highway and removes them annually.
Monday through Friday, Sept. 30 to Oct 4 - WSDOT will close the highway in both directions 8 miles east of Glacier from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. -
