2012年7月27日第30屆奧運在倫敦舉辦。開幕式上用了許多典,我不懂的地方太多,真是沒文化

開幕式在黑幕中開始。“邦德”丹尼爾-克雷格將由直升機的繩索從天而降,隨後27噸重的巨鍾敲響,宣布著開幕式的正式開始。而這巨鍾的創意也正是來自莎翁名作的《暴風雨》中的經典名句“不必害怕,這小島回蕩著嗡鳴”。接著,肯尼斯-布拉納將會朗讀劇作中的經典橋段。
此時,一個小山連綿、泉水流淌,草地和農舍相映成趣的背景將會把人們帶回到英國過去以農業為主的時期。那風景將會由真的動物組成,其中就包括了12匹馬、 3頭奶牛、70只綿羊和3只牧羊犬。屆時,甚至還會有馬拉動的耕犁的工具,辛勤的擠奶婦女、野餐的家庭、愛德華時期的村莊板球隊以及慶祝著五朔節而舞蹈著 的人們。舞台的一端會是格拉斯頓 伯裡山的娛樂活動,其頂端是一棵橡樹,而它的山腳下是節日歡聚的“人潮”。而另一端則是一個巨大的空間,讓其中的人們歡唱“終場之夜的音樂會”。博伊爾甚至有過“人工造雨”的想法,但按照現在的天氣預報看來,他的想法是完全沒有必要了。而這個階段的背景音樂會包括《希望和榮耀之地》,The Jam樂隊的《走向地下》和Vangelis的《火戰車》。

第三部分:“走向未來”

莎翁名作的《暴風雨》(1)
《暴風雨》寫於1611年,是莎士比亞的最後一部“傳奇劇”,被文學評論家認為是莎士比亞“詩的遺囑”。《暴風雨》描寫了米蘭公爵普洛斯彼羅被弟弟安東尼奧奪去爵位,帶著女兒米蘭達和魔術書流亡到一座荒島,在那裡調遣精靈,呼風喚雨。
《暴風雨》是莎士比精致獨立寫作的最後一個作品。這個作品集中表現他晚期對人類未來的設想,因此被人稱為莎士比亞的“詩的遺囑”。作品對於人類的未來,對於人類理性和智慧的力量的描寫,說明莎士比亞又堅定了自己對於人文主義理想的信念。
《暴風雨》融正劇和喜劇、幻想與現實於一體,在結構上恪守古典戲劇的三一律,把時間集中在一天的下午到傍晚的幾個鍾頭之內,而地點固定在一個孤立的海島上,劇本各部分結合非常完美,被譽為英國文學的最佳篇章。
1608年至1613年是莎士比亞的創作晚期,作品由悲劇轉向傳奇劇,作者試圖調和他的人文主義理想和客觀現實之間的尖銳矛盾,帶有鮮明的烏托邦色彩。這時期,他創作了4部具有共同特征的戲劇,即《泰爾親王用力克累斯》、《辛自林》、《冬天的故事》和《暴風雨》。它們的共同特征是:帶有浪漫色彩的傳奇故事、悲劇情節在其發展進程中突然轉向喜劇的結局。

2012年7月28日進行的開幕式上,關於莎翁戲劇片段的具體章節,就是來自於《暴風雨》第三幕第二章節野獸卡利班的一段話:
“Be not afeard. The isle is full of noises, Sounds, and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not. Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments Will hum about mine ears; and sometimes voices, That, if I then had wak'd after long sleep, Will make me sleep again; and then, in dreaming, The clouds methought would open and show riches Ready to drop upon me, that, when I wak'd, I cried to dream again."
而這段演講最核心的就是不必害怕。這島上充滿了聲音,用來形容奧運會。最後卡利班也說道,當他在長夢中醒來後,他高喊著“我哭著希望再夢一場”,埃德蒙德森也分析這是在形容英國人對於奧運的期待。
莎士比亞跟奧運會一些關系:在他的作品中有兩次提到過“奧林匹克”,其中一次就是在《暴風雨》第三幕手稿第六節中:“他在作品中表現了戰爭中的戰士就如同奧運會的選手一般,他是寓意著古希臘奧運會的運動選手。”而直到莎士比亞去世幾年後,在英國一個叫奇平坎普頓才開始盛行運動會,包括當年給了顧拜旦靈感的英國文洛克運動會都是在莎翁去世後才在英國普及開來。埃德蒙德森說這或許也是受到莎士比亞作品的影響
