Hello Folks,
Congratulations go out to Team Fruit Ninja for their championship run in this seasons' playoffs!
Fruit Ninja did a masterful job of controlling the high anxiety of playoff pressure by scoring key victories to claim this seasons' title. They beat a not so surprising but, yeah, surprising, finalist in Team Unknown. With a modest head of steam, the eighth ranked team turned heads as they pulled off some mammoth upsets against the top two seeded teams. Unfortunately, they succumbed to the pure P-P-P-PWNAGE that belonged to the team they call 'Fruit Ninja'.
A special shout out goes to Team Deelicious. After lurking in the shadows all season long, they played almost perfect to overtake Fruit Ninja and Prix with Stix in the last week of play and claim second overall.
And of course, how can we not recognize the Queen of our 8-ball league - Rashiela Dela Cruz! Her majesty showed everyone what consistency means by winning a little under 80% of her games. She dominated all individual categories and led her team' Lucky Levin, to first overall during the regular season. Kudos!
This seasons' banquet as well as Oscar's Billiards Christmas Party will take place on December 20th starting at 7pm. Art will graciously be adding his culinary dishes to our celebration so you do NOT want to miss out. A scotch doubles tournament will be held on the same night and will be starting at 7:45pm sharp. If you would like to participate, please show up no later than 7:30pm. The entry fee will be $10 per person ($20 per team) which includes a $5 per team green fee. The tournament is for league players only but the food is for all of Oscar's patrons. If you would like to join, you and your partners' combined average cannot exceed 16 points. Attached is an excel sheet with all the players final averages as well as other year end statistics.
呀!我都忘了下周二要取獎杯了。下周一計劃去LA公幹的。這可怎麼辦涅?
