On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross, The emblem of suffering and shame,
神愛子主耶穌，為世人被釘死，這十架是我最愛最寶。
And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best, For a world of lost sinners was slain.
故我愛高舉十字寶架，直到在主台前見主面，
So I will cherish the old rugged Cross, Until my trophies, at last, I lay down,
我一生要背負十字架，此十架可換公義冠冕。
I will cling to the old rugged Cross, And exchange it some day for a crown.
主寶貴十字架，被世人所輕視，對於我卻是眞神恩慈，
Oh, that old rugged Cross so despised by the world, Has a wondrous attraction for me,
神愛子主耶穌，捈y焯萌倩試肝廊吮炒聳堋�
For the dear Lamb of God, left His Glory above, To bear it to dark Calvary.
