WHISTLER (NEWS1130) – If you like living the single life on Valentine’s Day, stick to Whistler or Burnaby.
Whistler tops the Facebook’s list of Canadian cities where you’re most likely to remain unhitched.
With its relaxed ski culture and fun party scene, Whistler is number one city in this country where single people are most likely to remain single — at least, according to their Facebook status.
Burnaby, the city of no particular nickname, is second on the list. Home to the 1920′s Burnaby Village Museum, and particularly well-serviced by rapid transit, it’s a single person’s paradise!
Waterloo, Longueil, and Montreal are next on the list.
Facebook has also released a list of the cities where single people are most likely to change their status to couple. Number one is Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, followed by Cornwall, Timmins, Sorel, and Mirabel.
If you’re single and looking for longer-term love, that’s a different story; the number one city for singles looking to become couples is Prince Albert, Saskatchewan — Gateway to the North!
It may be more about staying warm than real romance.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
