- 时间: 2011-6-19 17:07一直搞不清在美国租车时保险如何购买。
有人说icbc保险直接生效，但我看icbc网站提到要提前购买Rental Vehicle coverage 而且要和租车公司确认是否接受。
需要不需要单买？还是现有保险自动转？在BC办手续还是在租车柜台办？
这儿有没有BROKER或经历过的，指点一二？

A: Just Say No! and check the decline box. Rental vehicle coverage is part of your Optional RoadStar Package (available for those with RoadStar status). Here’s the way a lawyer would say it: Your rental vehicle coverage provides collision, comprehensive and loss of rental income protection when using a vehicle that’s rented under a written rental agreement from an established rental service for up to 30 days.
Now, you may ask, what happens if I get one of those persnickety rental agents who wants to confirm my Optional RoadStar Package coverage? Well, there are two ways to handle this:
1) I come to Hawaii with you and explain personally to the rental agent that you are indeed an Optional RoadStar Package holder, or
2) That nosy rental agent can confirm your Optional RoadStar Package coverage 24/7 at 1-800-910-4222 (toll free) / 604-520-8222 (Lower Mainland). 如果按denlih的roadside plus价钱就便宜太多了。
ICBC roadside plus最合算，但注意，你自己的车必须买了Collison险种才能买这个附加保险
