"乐之堂"儿童经典诵读班以《论语》为基本教材，辅助以诗、书、易等其他经典选篇，用讲故事的方式解读中华传统文化的精髓，阐释安身立命之道。针对北美青少年脱离文化母体的现实，本课程采用字源识字法，以500个常用字为基础，轻松扩展至中国教育部规定的2500个常用字。通过讲解汉字的构成、本义和读音，使学生过目不忘。欢迎会汉语拼音、有500左右汉字量的青少年报名参加。也欢迎家长免费旁听，您一定能学到学生时代没学过的知识。

优艺文化艺术学校

"Chinese Classics for Children" uses as its primary text the Analects of Confucius, along with selections from The Book of Poetry, The Book of History and the I Ching. Interpretations of these texts are provided through storytelling, transmitting the essence of traditional Chinese culture, as well as the way to leading a happy, tranquil life. Geared toward North American Chinese youth facing the reality of being estranged from their mother culture, this class teaches Chinese character recognition based on etymology, a method which will allow for rapid vocabulary expansion from a base of 500 commonly used characters to the 2500 commonly used characters prescribed by the Chinese Department of Education. The explanations provided of a character's structure, original meaning and phonetic significance will enable students to effortlessly commit them to memory. Youth with a base character recognition of around 500 characters and be able to read the Pinyin Romanization system are welcome to participate. Parents are also welcome to listen in for free - you're guaranteed to acquire insights you missed during your student years!
