Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has identified a murder victim whose body was found near Hi-Knoll Park, along the Surrey-Langley border, on Thursday morning.
She has been identified as Lisa Ann Zielke, 41, of Surrey. Police say she was living a high-risk lifestyle, was drug-dependent and actively working as a sex trade worker.
IHIT will hold a press conference Monday to release photos of items and property that were found near the scene. Further updates on the investigation will also be provided.
The Township of Langley and Trinity Western University announced Wednesday that a generous donation had allowed TWU to purchase a 25-acre parcel of Grey Pits land east of the campus for $2.5 million. The five forest and wetland lots will now be preserved for research, education and public enjoyment.
