To get information from one place is copy, to get information from more than one place is research.
There are many instructions on the web about the Thunderbird. Generally speaking, the whole process was a breeze.
I experienced some problems while setting up Thunderbird to get email from Yahoo mail server. I searched from several different places to get the problem solved. I would like to write down the solutions I used. Hope it helps someone.

上次青城說到Thunderbird，今天裝來試試。
安裝到是很容易：
Open a terminal window,
Type:
sudo aptitude update
Press Enter
Type:
sudo aptitude install mozilla-thunderbird
Press Enter
等命令執行完，就好了。
到 Applications->Internet,就看到 Mozilla Thunderbird Mail/News了。
加Account也很簡單，尤其是Gmail account。
用用試試看。

以前使用MS outlook，經常犯的一個錯誤，就是在email中寫了attached is the xxxx， 然後send out the email without attached file（s）, 就是忘了。然後收到email說： "you did not attach anything.".
所以我總是要特別小心我忘記attach附件的事。
近來使用Ubuntu，開始使用Evolution，一直以來還沒有忘記attach file的事情發生。
今天用送出email，告訴對方attach了xxx文件。可是匆忙之中又忘了attach。
在我點擊了send之後，有趣的事情發生了。Evolution竟然提示我：

I have not got time to install the printer driver for my Ubuntu since I started using it as my main work environment.
I had to do this several days ago because I was really tired of writing things on one computer and printing on another computer.
I made ther printer work with my Ubuntu after a little bit research.
But for the chinese characters, the font looked ugly and there were always some words missing.

自從開始使用Ubuntu和虛擬機windows，逐漸盡可能的把工作移到Ubuntu上來做，這樣我就可以少開虛擬機windows，雖然只是click幾下的事，可畢竟是費時間起動不是。
一個一直困擾著我的事，就是使用較頻繁的來往文件（non email）不可避免的要用MS Word。因為公司，同事，客戶絕大多數都是使用MS word。如果我送去Open Office格式的文件，他們會感到不便。
近來開始使用Openoffice的PDF輸出功能。還用OpenOffice，但輸出為PDF格式送出去。這樣我就可以省去很多時間 on switching between word process softwares， OS and computers。

1. 在使用Openoffice寫東西或用evolution寫email時,一鍵入某些字母，especially “T"，focus就會跑到另一個workspace。
Openoffice版本是2.4.1
2. 打印機打出的文件字體不好看，而且有些字不見了。
或許是字庫不全，我試試專程PDF打印看看。
各位大俠有何高招？謝謝先。

以前有一台電腦安裝的Ubunutu，Firefox用著用著，Title Bar不見了。導致使用非常不方便，尤其是想把窗口變小些，同時看到屏幕其他部分或其他窗口時。當時沒有時間去研究如何把Title Bar找回來，後來由於需要一個中文操作系統的機器，索性重裝了。
昨天，忽然我常用的一台Ubuntu上的Firefox出現了同樣的情況，很不方便。這次不像上次，沒有備用的另外一台Ubuntu。只好上網搜索解決方法。
網上找到一個方法，試了一下果然FireFox的Title bar又回來了。

以前一直用MS的Outlook收發Email。現在基本不用Windows了。開始試用Evolution。真沒想到這麽好用。
想到上次應為沒有Backup Outlook，把很多電話搞丟了。
今天看了看Evolution的backup。收藏在這裡，以備查用。
