To get information from one place is copy, to get information from more than one place is research.
There are many instructions on the web about the Thunderbird. Generally speaking, the whole process was a breeze.
I experienced some problems while setting up Thunderbird to get email from Yahoo mail server. I searched from several different places to get the problem solved. I would like to write down the solutions I used. Hope it helps someone.

上次青城说到Thunderbird，今天装来试试。
安装到是很容易：
Open a terminal window,
Type:
sudo aptitude update
Press Enter
Type:
sudo aptitude install mozilla-thunderbird
Press Enter
等命令执行完，就好了。
到 Applications->Internet,就看到 Mozilla Thunderbird Mail/News了。
加Account也很简单，尤其是Gmail account。
用用试试看。

以前使用MS outlook，经常犯的一个错误，就是在email中写了attached is the xxxx， 然后send out the email without attached file（s）, 就是忘了。然后收到email说： "you did not attach anything.".
所以我总是要特别小心我忘记attach附件的事。
近来使用Ubuntu，开始使用Evolution，一直以来还没有忘记attach file的事情发生。
今天用送出email，告诉对方attach了xxx文件。可是匆忙之中又忘了attach。
在我点击了send之后，有趣的事情发生了。Evolution竟然提示我：

I have not got time to install the printer driver for my Ubuntu since I started using it as my main work environment.
I had to do this several days ago because I was really tired of writing things on one computer and printing on another computer.
I made ther printer work with my Ubuntu after a little bit research.
But for the chinese characters, the font looked ugly and there were always some words missing.

自从开始使用Ubuntu和虚拟机windows，逐渐尽可能的把工作移到Ubuntu上来做，这样我就可以少开虚拟机windows，虽然只是click几下的事，可毕竟是费时间起动不是。
一个一直困扰着我的事，就是使用较频繁的来往文件（non email）不可避免的要用MS Word。因为公司，同事，客户绝大多数都是使用MS word。如果我送去Open Office格式的文件，他们会感到不便。
近来开始使用Openoffice的PDF输出功能。还用OpenOffice，但输出为PDF格式送出去。这样我就可以省去很多时间 on switching between word process softwares， OS and computers。

1. 在使用Openoffice写东西或用evolution写email时,一键入某些字母，especially “T"，focus就会跑到另一个workspace。
Openoffice版本是2.4.1
2. 打印机打出的文件字体不好看，而且有些字不见了。
或许是字库不全，我试试专程PDF打印看看。
各位大侠有何高招？谢谢先。

以前有一台电脑安装的Ubunutu，Firefox用着用着，Title Bar不见了。导致使用非常不方便，尤其是想把窗口变小些，同时看到屏幕其他部分或其他窗口时。当时没有时间去研究如何把Title Bar找回来，后来由于需要一个中文操作系统的机器，索性重装了。
昨天，忽然我常用的一台Ubuntu上的Firefox出现了同样的情况，很不方便。这次不像上次，没有备用的另外一台Ubuntu。只好上网搜索解决方法。
网上找到一个方法，试了一下果然FireFox的Title bar又回来了。

以前一直用MS的Outlook收发Email。现在基本不用Windows了。开始试用Evolution。真没想到这麽好用。
想到上次应为没有Backup Outlook，把很多电话搞丢了。
今天看了看Evolution的backup。收藏在这里，以备查用。
