2014 年三聯市市選參考名單
本屆三聯市市選，新民主黨NDP 背景的候選人勢頭很猛，Coquitlam 首次成立了有NDP 背景
的市選政黨Coquitlam Citizens Association，競選市議員。三聯市學務委員選舉上屆只有2 個新人
參選，這次居然有18 個新人參選、共有25 人競選9 個學務委員席位，其中有13 位候選人認同
NDP 理念。

怎樣投票是每個
人自己的決定，如果你還沒看准選誰，筆者個人整理的以下名單，可以供你參考：
學務委員：
Coquitlam：
Barb Hobson：政治理念傾向BC 自由黨，1996-2002 擔任學委。對有關同性戀教育政策的立場是：
When I was on the School Board from 1996 until 2002, I was on a committee that developed an Anti
Harassment Policy. I continually advocated (successfully) for this policy to be inclusive of all students. No
individual should ever be harassed, intimidated or bullied. I believe we do not need to be specific as to
who this applies to since it applies to everyone.
Diane Sowden：現任學委，未公開政治傾向。她是8 個孩子的母親，Children of the Street Society
創始人，主張家長有權幫助子女戒毒，主張提高性行為年齡，致力保護離家出走兒童。
Gaily Alty：現任學委。對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場是：Parents are a child's first
teacher and have the right to teach their family values to their children. I would not support any policy
that did not respect that right. I do believe every child, youth and adult has a right to be treated with
respect and dignity without being subjected to bullying or any kind of intimidation.
Zongshu Luo 羅仲抒：政治理念傾向BC 自由黨。對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場是：I
respect people who have different sexual orientation. But I won't adopt any policy in school beyond the
boundaries. Parents, in my opinion, should be always involved largely in their children's education.
Children develop their values mostly based on their family values. No one is ever able to limit the
parents role in their development.
Port Coquitlam：
Liam Coughlan：政治理念傾向BC 自由黨。對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場是： I
would not go the route that Vancouver and Burnaby have. Nobody should be bullied for any of those
reasons, but the policy should protect all students equally and ensure all of our children feel valued and
safe in our schools. I respect the role of parents as prime educators of their children on moral matters.
Parents play a pivotal role in the education of their children, and schools boards are there to support
that role and not usurp it.
Judy Shirra：現任學委，政治理念傾向綠黨。未答復對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場，
由於Port Coquitlam 其他候選人理念均傾向NDP，所以不如繼續選她。
Port Moody：
Keith Watkins：現任學委，未公開政治傾向。未答復對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場，
但鑒於43 學區以往的政策，可能不會完全偏袒同性戀立場。
Melissa Hyndes：現任學委。未答復對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場，但政治理念傾向
BC 自由黨，可能不會完全偏袒同性戀立場。
Anmore/Belcarra：
Celia Chiang：政治理念傾向BC 自由黨。對有關同性戀教育政策和父母教育權的立場是：If elected
my stance on this issue will be that all individuals needed to be respected regardless of what their sexual
preference is. Schools and administration need to respect the role of parents.
市長、市議員：
各位候選人的政見見仁見智，如果你沒有特別鍾意的對象，又怕選錯人，不妨選現任市長、
市議員，保持現狀。無論如何，不要浪費你手中的選票，因為只有提高投票率，華人的呼聲才會
得到重視。
Coquitlam：
市長：可以選現任市長Richard Stewart
市議員：可以選現任議員Brent Asmundson, Craig Hodge, Mae Reid, Terry O'Neill，再選4 位新人，
建議：兩個孩子的已婚父親Dennis Marsden，韓國基督徒、兩個孩子的已婚父親Justin Kim，14 歲
就開始打工的Massimo Manadarino，兩個孩子的已婚媽媽Teri Towner。
注意：有5 位候選人成立了Coquitlam 史上第一個NDP 背景的政黨Coquitlam Citizen Association，
選票上名字後面會注明”CCA”，如果你不支持NDP，就不要選他們。
Port Coquitlam：
市長：可以選現任市長Greg Moore
市議員：可以選現任議員 Brad West, Darrell Penner, Dean Washington, Glenn Pollock, Michael Wright,
Mike Forrest。
Port Moody：
市長：可以選現任市長Mike Clay
市議員：可以選現任議員Diana Dilworth, Gerry Nuttall, Rick Glumac, Rosemary Small, Zoë Royer，再
選1 位新人，建議：兩個孩子的已婚媽媽Barbara Junker。
Anmore：
市長：可以選現任市長Heather Anderson
市議員：可以選現任議員Ann-Marie Thiele ，再選3 位新人，沒建議。
Belcarra：
市長：可以選現任市長Ralph Drew
市議員：可以選現任議員Bruce Drake, Jamie Ross, Jennifer Glover，再選1 位新人，沒建議。
