30日凌晨時分，抗議者打破大樓Hamilton Hall的窗戶後，闖入大樓並用桌子擋門，大樓外另有學生組設人鏈作為路障。示威者在那裡展開寫有“Hind's Hall”的橫幅，象徵性地為該建築重新命名，以紀念一名在加沙被以色列軍隊殺害的6歲巴勒斯坦兒童。

該大樓自1968年起屢被學生“占領”作為抗議場所，包括抗議越南戰爭、反對種族隔離等，被指具有學生運動象徵意義。
