纳奈莫地区局已将韦斯利岭山火的撤离令扩大，涵盖小夸利库姆瀑布省级公园和卡梅伦湖北岸。

当地居民杰克·米切尔表示，他所在农村社区现在布满了应急车辆。

“我在这片区域长大，一生都生活在这里……看到邻居们家破人亡、收拾行囊并互相提醒，这真的令人难以置信”。

米切尔称，他的家庭自上周四起就开始准备撤离，尽管撤离令直到周五才正式发布。

“警方特意为我们提供了特殊安排，因为我们有一名三个月大的婴儿”，他说，“他们给我们10分钟时间带走所有能带走的东西”。

米切尔说，他们不得不将一辆房车和一艘船从房产上移走，并用卡车装载重要物品。他指他的房子很有可能被大火吞噬。
