以色列与宿敌伊朗之间的空战周三（18日）已进入第6天。以色列国防部长卡兹（Israel Katz）周三说，以色列空军空袭伊朗首都德黑兰再获战果，摧毁了伊朗内部安全局总部。他强调，以色列会继续打击「伊朗统治象徵」与伊朗政权军事标的。伊朗媒体则称，以色列当天袭击了位于德黑兰的伊朗红新月会大楼与德黑兰附近的重要机场。

影片显示，德黑兰东北区的拉维赞（Lavizan）当天下午遇袭之后，市区冒出滚滚浓烟。卡兹说：「龙卷风仍持续袭击德黑兰。」社群平来流传的画面显示，伊朗内部安全局总部陷入火海，浓烟不断窜出。此外，德黑兰东区、东南区多地也冒出浓烟。

伊朗国营媒体法斯通讯社（Fars News Agency）报导，以色列周三也攻击了德黑兰附近的伊朗航空枢纽帕雅姆恩国际机场（Payam International Airport）。这座机场位于德黑兰西郊，消防与急救人员正赶赴当地展开救援。

路透社引述伊朗国营的伊朗通讯社（IRNA）与多家伊朗媒体周三报导，以色列攻击了位于德黑兰市中心的伊朗红新月会（Iranian Red Crescent）大楼。红新月会是在阿拉伯世界的救难组织名称，等同红十字会。
