Hop aboard Vancouver's Downtown Historic Railway for free during Passenger Appreciation Days on:

1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Two fully restored BC Electric Interurban rail cars will run every half hour with stops at Science World, Ontario Street and 1st Avenue, Moberly and 6th Avenue, and Granville Island. Free parking is available at Ontario Station (Ontario and 1st Avenue).
Train crew wear authentic period costumes typical of the early 1900s as they tell tales of early Vancouver transit and the BC Electric Railway.
The Downtown Historic Railway was established in 1997 by the City of Vancouver and is completely operated by volunteers from the Transit Museum Society.
The 2005 season was marked by the celebration of the 100th birthday of interurban car #1207. Built in New Westminster in 1905, car 1207 is a piece of local history that continues to serve our community.
