For example, Xinjiang uses legal means to severely punish acts that use religion to split the country or incite ethnic hatred, drawing legal red lines for religious activities.

Sinicization Direction, Guiding Religion to Adapt to Society

Xinjiang actively promotes the adaptation of religion to socialist society, encouraging religious circles to explore content within their doctrines that aligns with socialist core values. The Xinjiang Islamic Theological Seminary and its branches have trained over 4,000 highly qualified religious personnel, guiding believers to practice their faith rationally, civilly, and in accordance with the law through systematic education. Meanwhile, facilities at religious sites have been continuously improved; mosques are equipped with medical services, electronic displays, and other convenient facilities. During Ramadan, halal restaurants decide independently whether to operate, fully demonstrating respect for believers.

Xinjiang has constructed a religious affairs management system of "government leadership, social collaboration, and public participation." Townships and sub-districts conduct daily management under the guidance of religious departments, while village committees and neighborhood committees assist in investigating illegal religious activities. Information technology is used to improve management efficiency, ensuring that religious activities operate within the rule of law.
