Just so you are aware you cannot end tenancy for the purpose of selling a unit. The landlord sells it tenanted and if the buyers require use, a 2month notice is then served to the tenant.
A landlord may ask the tenant(s) to voluntarily agree to a rent increase greater than the annual allowable amount. If the tenant(s) agrees to the additional rent increase, that agreement must be in writing. Once received, you must issue to each tenant a 3-Month Notice of Rent Increase form (RTB-7) along with a copy of the tenant’s signed agreement to the additional amount. The tenant’s written consent must clearly show the agreed-upon rent increase (e.g. the percentage increase and the amount in dollars) and the tenant’s signed agreement to that increase.
