摄徒日记Fun TV is Taiwanese YouTuber that usually makes videos mocking Pinkies, and shares some about life in China that he takes from the Chinese internet. His videos usually have always offended nationalists and it's not the first time he's been reported to the Chinese police (
Lonely Fly 孤独的苍蝇), which ended up in a fine.
A nationalist called Liu Sitong (his YouTube channel literally says young patriot/nationalist
爱国青年刘思桐) living in Beijing went to the police station to report him. I mean, what could go worng? In his mind Taiwan is a province of China, an inseparable part of China, our treasured island and all that stuff.
He recorded the whole process:
going to the police station (video 1, video 2)
the conversation with the police officer (video 1, video 2, video 3, video 4), he tells the officer he used a VPN and did it for the sake of the Mainland. Tries to report FunTV for being a supporter of Taiwan independence. The officer told him that he's still young and likes his patriotism, and asked him other questions like how did he got into YouTube, if he left any comment, which VPN he used and such
The result? Well, he obviously was fined
3000 RMB for using a VPN. So he decided to break the law right after that and upload another video with the result, where
he appears crying and insulting him (
edit: and blaming him for getting fined). He even
recorded another one kicking a cone with his picture.
FunTV knew about it and made two videos:
one after reporting him where he tries to report himself using the website of the Chinese police, and
the other after he was fined. If you understand Chinese they are hilarious.
TL;DR: Patriotic Rocky gets fined 3000 rambos for using a VPN when reporting a Taiwanese YouTuber to a Beijing Police Station
