This is truly a heart broken tragedy and it happened in my community. I can not imagine the last moment of this poor man and the tomorrow of his family. While the health minister Adrian Dix constantly tells us that BC is well prepared, we have more than 4000 empty beds and 600 ventilators dedicated for Covid-19 patients. But the fact is three people (N. Van, Burnaby and Richmond) died in their own home without hospitalization. Why that could have happened? We are not yesterday's Wuhan or today's New York where health care system are overwhelmed, health worker are risking their own lives to fight the virus. Some patients had to be left on their own. It's very painful for everyone but no other choice. BC today is far less than that situation. No one should be left alone and died in their own home. It's time to change our testing and hospitalization policy. British Colombians deserve better treatment.
