- 时间: 2004-9-17 13:48Gmail用的是UTF-8编码，所以如果发送方的邮件系统不是使用相同的编码(如Hotmail和Yahoo)，你收到的邮件就会看起来是乱码，这确实很讨厌，也是一部份人望Gmail而却步的重要原因。
其实在Gmail正在解决，在Help里有一个临时的办法让乱码显露原形:
1. 选择一封邮件，可能显示乱码， 点击"More options"(在上部)
2. 再选择'Show original' , 怎么样...,看到你的邮件了吧
3. 还是乱码? 这时是改变IE浏览器里的Encode(编码)设定的时候了，试试其它编码(简体,UTF-8,...), 只要你选到与发送方使用的相同编码就可以了。

If you are unable to send or receive messages in languages other than English, we suggest adjusting your browser's encoding settings.
Here's how to adjust the settings in Internet Explorer:
1、Click the 'View' menu at the top of your browser
2、Select 'Encoding'
3、Select 'Unicode (UTF-' from the list of options
If this doesn't improve the problem, the improper display of characters might be the result of mail clients converting encodings during the transmission of messages.
In the meantime, you can view messages properly by opening the original sent message. To view the original message, please follow these steps:
1、Log in to your Gmail account
2、Open the conversation containing the message you would like to view
3、Click 'More options' at the top of the message
4、Click 'Show original'
The Gmail team is working on a fix for each of these problems. In the meantime, if these suggestions don't work and your language isn't on the list, please let us know by clicking 'contact us' below.
