Westca Technology Ltd. operates Westca.com, the largest multi-media Chinese portal website in Western Canada. We are currently seeking a full-time web developer to join our team.

Job title: Web Developer (NOC # 2175)
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: $29 per hour
Terms of employment: this is a permanent, full-time position

Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for website maintenance and updates.
• Prepare all page layouts and master page and administer migration for all existing application within required framework.
• Monitor lifecycle of all applications and perform troubleshoot on processes and assist to resolve all issues.
• Develop required procedures and assist in all HTML and CSS processes.
• Evaluate and recommend modification to portal applications if required and perform various tests.
• Coordinate with team members to analyze all requirements and ensure achievement of all business and technical objectives.
• Perform tests and assist to debug all issues within required code specifications and provide technical assistance to all issues.
• Maintain an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices.
Job requirements and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science, web design or business is required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a web developer is required.
• Solid knowledge in programming applications.
• Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.
• Dedicated team player.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Solid ability in both written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of programming language and technical terminology.
• Able to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
• Able to solve complex problems.
