Pinnacle Teaching Service started in 2006 when a few BC Certified Teachers got together to help students get needed help that they were not getting in school. Pinnacle Teaching Service is an education centre located in Richmond, BC, near Richmond Centre Mall, near Brighouse Skytrain station, and across Richmond City Hall.
Pinnacle Teaching Service provides One-to-One Teaching Sessions, Small Group Session, Online Teaching Sessions, help with Online Courses, as well as Prep classes and language classes for varying ages and levels. We not only tutor students but teach them what they missed in traditional settings, teach them study skills and provide mentoring and advice.
Our Teachers are all committed and passionate about teaching and ensuring our students achieve their best. The faculty is composed of Certified Teachers in both Public and Private Secondary and Elementary Institutions; teachers holding Ph.D. Doctoral degrees, Masters degrees, and Bachelors degrees; and professionals with various professional degrees and designations. All of our teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and have extensive experience teaching their subject area. They will help all students with their work and provide extra practice when needed. Some of our teachers have taught at prestigious private schools such as St. Georges, Crofton House School, York House, Richmond Christian High School.
Our elementary students have gone to special programs such as French Immersion, mini programs, challenge programs, accelerated programs and others when going to high school. We’ve even helped students enter private schools such as St. Georges, Crofton House school. Our secondary students have gone to many big universities such as UBC, SFU, UT, Harvard, Stanford, Princeton. Some children have even skipped 1-2 grades after tutoring with our teachers.
We're looking for talented educators that have a passion for teaching.
This person should be knowledgeable in their subject area and be "on top" of things as questions may pop up and they need to be able to answer on the spot.
They should be comfortable working with school age children anywhere from K - 12 and have an outgoing and friendly personality.
They should be able to explain concepts with ease, find different ways of explaining and be able to give examples.
They should be able to find materials for students to practice and work on during the tutoring session.
They should be able to at least commit to 6 months or longer.
Hours are after school (after 3pm), or during weekends or on holidays and depend on the demand. There maybe times during the day that they could work depending on other demands of services we provide.
Tutors are needed in many areas, including but not limited to:
Immediate need:
English - from Kindergarten - Grade 12
English exam preps (LPI, IELTS, TOEFL, etc)
Reading, Writing, Vocabulary and Grammar
Need:
Math from Kindergarten - Grade 12
Calculus, AP/IB
Sciences Grade 8-10
Chem 11/12, AP/IB
Physics 11/12, AP/IB
Biol 11/12, AP/IB
We need people who can teach languages:
French
Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese)
Spanish
Japanese
Exam prep (SAT, SSAT etc)
If you can speak Chinese, that would be a plus.
