Burli Software is a Vancouver-based software company that has been developing, selling and supporting software for the broadcast industry for more than 20 years. Its key products, which are used worldwide by thousands of professional journalists, are applications for managing content (text, audio, video) for radio and television newsrooms.
About the Position

We are currently seeking:

- An experienced front end web developer who is also comfortable with back-end development
- Someone who has produced professional, commercial-grade products using JavaScript, HTML5, ASP.NET Web API, REST, React, Web Sockets, Electron, and IIS
- A detail-oriented, self-starting team player with a genuine passion for programming and technology, who enjoys a variety of programming challenges and is eager to innovate, learn, and explore new skills, frameworks, and technologies

Strong preference will be given to candidates with:

- MSSQL experience (queries, stored procedures, performance troubleshooting)
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent and demonstrated command of software engineering design patterns and methodologies
- Significant experience with Microsoft Windows environments, Active Directory, and IIS
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Additional desirable skills include:

- Background or experience in C++ programming
- Experience with media (audio, video, images) including editing, streaming, codecs, WebRTC/RTP, asset management
