看了下面的法律規定，就不會奇怪為什麼鄰居老師醫生之類的人會報告兒童廳。

因為（你）如果懷疑兒童被虐待或疏於管理，不報兒童廳的話，會被處以1萬加幣罰款及入獄6個月。注意是懷疑而不是確定，確定的問題是兒童廳的責任，不是舉報人的責任。

報警是遵守法律，不惹禍上身，不是沒事找事。不報，才真有可能沒事找事。

14 (1) A person who has reason to believe that a child needs protection under section 13 must promptly report the matter to a director or a person designated by a director.

不去搭訕不打電話給兒童廳就犯罪了？要處以1萬以下罰款或者坐牢6個月以下的刑罰？

遇到執法人員，要冷靜，不要自以為是，是保護自己的首要條件。一沖動，人家就真懷疑你有什麼要HIDE 了。

如果你真的懷疑是疏於管理，不報，就是犯法。如果你認為大人在不遠處看著呢，沒報，不犯法。這個如何界定是否犯法，不是那麼好屆定的。看字面，就是這樣。
