加西网讯：针对今年省选中，自由党对新民主党候选人王白进、康安礼的相关指控。本那比市议会要求省自由党立即撤销正在中文媒体上刊登的误导性广告，并撤回不实控述及相关言论。
本那比市长德瑞克.柯瑞根（Derek Corrigan）更发函力挺NDP在温哥华-兰加拉（Vancouver-Langara）选区的省议员候选人王白进（James Wang）：全文写道：
作为本那比市议员及本那比教育局的前学务委员，王白进先生自2008年第一次当选以来，出色地展现了本那比市民的意见，积累了丰富的政治经验。他和他的家人深深扎根于温哥华-兰加拉社区，并且致力于最好地代表这个选区选民的利益。(As a Burnaby City Councillor and past Trustee on the Burnaby Board of Education, James Wang has a wealth of political experience and has done an excellent job of representing the citizens of Burnaby since he was first elected in 2008. I know that he and his family are also deeply rooted in the Vancouver-Langara community and he has an unwavering commitment to the best interests of the constituents in the riding.)
王白进先生是加拿大第一位来自中国大陆的华裔市议员，他的独特经验将助益于他的工作，他理应入选省议会。我支持王白进先生成为省议员，我相信他会孜孜不倦地致力于解决省民们所遇到的问题。(James is the first Chinese-Canadian from Mainland China to be elected as a City Councillor in Canada and I know his unique experience will enhance his work should he be elected to the Provincial Legislature. I support James in his effort to become an MLA and I know he will work tirelessly to find solutions to issues that families face across the province.)
