If the mango case is not sealed / wrapped then yes, I think it's fine to pick and swap only for the ones I want. I'm paying my money, so why can't I only select the ones that fits my criteria? If I'm breaking packing and such, that you can criticize and I'm would agree. But if it is open box then why not? Everyone do this, not just the Chinese or other "backward" country / groups. If I was store owner, I don't see the issue either. Frankly, that's better than the alternative which is fewer people buy my products due to 1 or 2 blemished, or rotting fruits and I either have to lower my price by a lot or end up with a lot more spoiled produce.
