　　Top US tech firms including Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O) and Facebook Inc (FB.O) filed a legal brief on Monday backing a challenge to US President Donald Trump’s temporary ban on the entry of certain foreign workers to preserve jobs for Americans during the coronavirus pandemic.

　　這52家公司包括蘋果、微軟、網飛和推特。訴狀是由代表1.4萬家公司的全國制造商協會發起的。

　　Apple (AAPL.O), Microsoft (MSFT.O), Netflix (NFLX.O) and Twitter (TWTR.N) were among 52 companies that signed the brief, which was filed in a lawsuit brought by the National Association of Manufacturers, which represents 14,000 member companies.

　　這也意味著，不僅52家頭部科技公司聯名抵制，全美1.4萬家小型和大型制造業公司都急了。

　　這些科技公司在“法庭之友”簡報中寫道："加拿大、中國和印度等國家的全球競爭者正抓住這個機會，吸引訓練有素的創新型人才。""與此同時，美國企業眼下也有必要在境外雇傭需要的人才來完成工作。"

　　"Already global competitors in Canada, China, and India, among others, are pouncing at the opportunity to attract well-trained, innovative individuals,” note the companies. “And American businesses are scrambling to adjust, hiring needed talent to work in locations outside our nation’s borders."

　　今年6月，特朗普簽署了行政令，凍結包括適用於科技公司引進員工的H-1B簽證、交換學生的J-1簽證等四種簽證類別，這一舉措旨在釋放50萬個工作崗位，為受疫情影響的美國失業者提供就業機會。

　　然而商業雜志福布斯報道稱，沒有證據顯示這一行政令能促進就業。

　　The administration asserted the proclamation was needed due to the overall US unemployment rate. However, no evidence was presented that blocking the entry of these visa holders would benefit the American economy or reduce unemployment.
