Public Advisory from Canada Post Regarding a Potential Work Disruption

OTTAWA - Labournegotiations between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of PostalWorkers (CUPW) continue. Talks have been ongoing since late 2015, andthe parties are now in the final stretch. No legal work disruption canoccur until July 2, 2016. Details of the offers are highlighted in thebackground section below.
While there is still time to reach new agreements, a legal workdisruption could occur as early as July 2, 2016. We understand theimpact a work disruption would have on customers and are therefore doingeverything possible to reach a negotiated settlement quickly. While alabour disruption remains a possibility, we are asking customers to takeprecautions.
In the event of a labour disruption, Canada Post will not operate.Mail and parcels will not be delivered, and no new items will beaccepted. Any mail and parcels within the postal system during a workdisruption will be secured and delivered as quickly as possible onceoperations resume.
As a result, many organizations have already communicated theircontingency plans to their customers. To ensure delivery through CanadaPost prior to a possible work disruption, customers are encouraged tosend any items as described below:
