There are hunders of species and cultivars of Boxwood.Forget about the Latin name.Just ask for American,English or Korean and Chinese. If you want tall,go for American;fat for English,in between for Korean species. It'll grow denser for sure if you trim it.It's better to trim during the first few years to encourage branching and new growth, which in turn will result in denser growth. The best time to trim is now till May(or before the bud breaks).Good luck!
You mean if I want short fat style, I should ask for English species? Could you please advise where I can buy them, if Home Depot doesn't have English one?
