Fight HST goes after Vancouver Island cabinet minister
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Anti-HST organizers have rolled out their recall campaign plan and the group's first target is on Vancouver Island. Minister of Sciences and Universities Ida Chong in the riding of Oak-Bay-Gordon Head is the first to be targeted, starting November 22nd.
FightHST crusader Bill Vander Zalm was asked why they're doing recalls when the government has granted a referendum on the tax.
"We have little more than a promise from the Premier, who has recently stepped down as we predicted might happen. There is a great deal of uncertainty in the province obviously because we're waiting for this happen, almost a whole year from now."
The next recalls will be in Kamloops North and Comox Valley
