UBC Vancouver – Possible transit operators’ strike

You may be aware that the union representing Coast Mountain Bus Company transit workers and SeaBus operators held a vote yesterday, in which the majority of its members voted in favour of strike action.

It is important to note that although the union has voted in favour of strike action, actual strike activity cannot occur until the union provides 72-hours’ notice to their employer, TransLink.

It is also possible that the matter may be resolved before any strike action takes place.

If a resolution is not found and a strike proceeds:

All classes and normal business operations will continue as scheduled
