Software Designer

Position Mandate:

We are looking for an experienced Software Designer

(Applications) who can help bring our technology to the

next level through a disciplined application of industry best

practices in analysis, design and implementation tool sets.

Some of the key responsibilities are (but are not limited

to):

• Full software development life-cycle: Requirements,

design, code, test and support for changes to existing and

new applications.

• Adhere to design control processes (plan, document,

review, source control).

• Contribute to a cooperative and constructive team

environment

• Initial assignments will focus on software support aspects

to build system knowledge.

• Working on multiple projects and change requests at a

time

Mandatory Qualifications:

• University degree in computer science or equivalent

• SQL Server experience

• ASP, COM experience

• Experience with Web Services and SOAP

• C++, C# experience

• Experience with .NET

• UML experience

• XML experience

• Experience with modelling tools, such as Enterprise

Architect

• Real-time transaction processing system experience

Must-have Attributes:

• Strong written and verbal scommunication skills

• Demonstrated ability to work towards team-based goals

• Demonstrated ability to become effective with new

technology quickly and independently

• Reverse-engineering skills for software support

• 3+ years experience developing commercial software

products including high-level design achievements

• 3+ years experience as a software developer

• 3+ years database development experience
